About Us

WHAT WE DO

Our ministry comes alongside local churches and ministries to assist them in the planning and producing of an evangelistic event targeted to reach unchurched people in their area. Each event is uniquely planned. Programming is tailored to each area to have the greatest local impact.

Two Main Types of Events are used:

THE FESTIVAL MODEL—

This model is most commonly a two-day event that features a variety of elements that present the gospel. Examples are: professional Christian skateboard demos, kids fun zone, monster truck demos, music venues, and other activities with gospel presentations throughout the event.

TENT / STADIUM CELEBRATION—

These celebrations are generally an area-wide four/five day evangelistic event held in the tent or an outdoor place such as a stadium. It uses Christian music geared to local interests, crowd-attracting Christian guests; and evangelistic messages by a harvest evangelist.

FESTIVAL DIRECTOR/CONSULTANT—

John Bush, spends countless hours at each location to help the local churches prepare for their event. He helps cast the vision, enlist and train area team leaders, assist in the fund raising, lead in training counselors, and general promotion of each event. His wife, Jeanette, assists in administrative duties for the ministry, helps with planning,  and serves in coordinating volunteers at events when possible.

WHO WE ARE

JOHN AND JEANETTE BUSH began serving the Lord together in 1980 when they married in Kansas City, MO. After living and serving in the Midwest, southern California, and Alabama, they now call South Carolina home. They have three married children, J.T., Jeffrey, Jennifer and twin grandsons. Since 1971, John has served in multiple positions of church leadership such as: pastor, associate pastor in youth/education, church planter, church missions liaison and field evangelist. Jeanette has served in ministry positions both paid and volunteer.

John and Jeanette followed the Lord’s calling to begin Across Festivals ministry in January 2003. The first years were spent in much prayer and ‘plowing the fields’. Now they are blessed to be seeing the rewards of labor as God has been faithful to bring the harvest in many cities. They continue to follow God’s calling and invite others to join in as we work alongside one another to share the Gospel and enlarge the Kingdom of God.
